According to a new report on the New York Times, law enforcement agents have been using Google to close criminal cases when they hit roadblocks and their leads grow cold. The information that is gathered by Google's Sensorvault database is used by the tech giant to track ad performance and serve targeted ads but has now become an effective tool in the fight against crime. The Sensorvault database is efficient as it contains location details of millions of Google devices around the world.
